Travel back in time to Trunyan village in the heart of Kintamani crater in north central Bali.
Bukit Trunyan Sunrise Trekk
or Trunyan Hill – sits at an elevation of 1,834 meters and takes approximately 2-3 hours to hike from the Kintamani crater floor of Trunyan Village to its apex.
Path for the trek is a mix of traditional villager footpaths and seasonal rain cuts providing a unique and uncommon trekking experience for everyone.
Views from the top, plateaus of Karangasem, Mount Rinjani Lombok can be seen east above the clouds, the top of the Bangkuyang, the height and splendor of Lake Batur & Mount Batur and Trunyan village located in the Caldera and at the bottom there is the temple Jagat Pancering Trunyan.

Private personal guide, Yansu, who grew up in this village, will take you to his family’s unique and legendary cemetery where villagers have been placing to rest their family and loved ones for centuries.
This unique style of ceremonial burial, in open air, allowing the elements to reclaim the corpses in a natural process, is a rare and eye-opening experience that will stay with you forever.

Trunyan Cemetery is only accessible by boat, across a quiet lake, about 15mins from Trunyan village.
